Mental Wellbeing and Safety
At what age do you start conversations about safe touch, safe boundaries?
Betty Gallagher Team Leader Children’s services and Lyn Jansen Prevention Education Lead both from Stop Services note the importance of starting early. Lyn suggests that the conversation starts with a child when they are a baby. They note there is a wide variation in the way that families approach this – there is no right or wrong. Betty confirms that earlier is better.
